Botola: Raja held 1-1 by HUSA after missed penalty
Raja Casablanca were held 1-1 by Hassania Agadir in matchday 5 of the Botola Pro after a missed stoppage-time penalty, while AS FAR beat Ittihad Tanger 2-0.
Raja Casablanca were held to a 1-1 draw by Hassania Agadir (HUSA) on Wednesday evening at Larbi Zaouli Stadium, in matchday 5 of the Botola Pro Inwi, after striker Adam Ennaffati missed a stoppage-time penalty that would have won the match for the "Greens" in front of their own fans.
Amine Azri put Hassania ahead in the 66th minute, before Mathias Oyewusi Kehinde equalised for Raja in the 81st. A second goal for the visitors was later ruled out by the video assistant referee. In stoppage time, Raja were awarded a penalty that could have sealed the win, but Adam Ennaffati missed it, and the match ended in a draw.
Raja went into the match with one win and three draws from their previous four league games, and now add this fifth draw to that tally, underlining a difficult start to the season and mounting pressure on Spanish coach Paco Jémez, who took charge in September in place of Nasreddine Nabi.
AS FAR beat ten-man Ittihad Tanger
In another match on the same matchday, AS FAR beat hosts Ittihad Tanger 2-0, with the visitors reduced to ten men after defender Gape Mohutsiwa was sent off in the 52nd minute. Youssef El Fahli opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 80th minute, after missing an earlier penalty in the 35th, before Abdelfettah Hadraf added a second goal in stoppage time (90+5).
The win took AS FAR's tally to 7 points, level with Ittihad Tanger, who remain on the same total despite the loss.
| Match | Score |
|---|---|
| Raja Casablanca - Hassania Agadir | 1-1 |
| AS FAR - Ittihad Tanger | 2-0 |
The draw comes as Raja prepare to face Al Ahly of Egypt and RS Berkane in a tough CAF Champions League group, while AS FAR and Ittihad Tanger both look to build on their shared points tally in the league's coming matchdays.
